This page explains how Date Today handles information about visitors. The short version: we don’t track you across the web, we don’t sell your data, and the only things we do collect are the standard server logs that every website inevitably keeps.

What we collect automatically

Our web server logs the following information for every page request, as nearly all web servers do: your IP address, the URL you requested, the time of the request, the HTTP status code we returned (e.g. 200 OK or 404 Not Found), the size of the response, your browser’s user-agent string, and the referring URL (if any). These logs are retained for 30 days for operational purposes (debugging, security monitoring, abuse prevention) and then deleted automatically.

What we don’t collect

We do not use cookies for tracking. We do not embed third-party tracking pixels (no Facebook Pixel, no LinkedIn Insight Tag, no advertising network beacons). We do not use cross-site cookies. We do not sell or share visitor data with third parties. We do not maintain a profile of individual visitors.

Analytics

We use privacy-respecting analytics (such as Plausible or a self-hosted equivalent) to count page views and understand which calendar systems are most consulted. These analytics record page URL, country (derived from IP without storing the IP), referrer, and browser type — and do so without setting any persistent identifiers and without tracking visitors across sessions or sites.

Third-party fonts

We load typography (Fraunces, Manrope, JetBrains Mono, Amiri, Noto Sans for various scripts) from Google Fonts, which means Google records the IP addresses of visitors who load these fonts. We do this because correctly rendering Arabic, Hebrew, Persian, Devanagari, Tamil, Bengali, Ethiopic, Burmese, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese scripts requires fonts that not every operating system ships with. Google’s Fonts terms specify that they do not use the data for ad targeting.
